    Fabulous

The staff were really friendly!!! And I love their full English breakfast.

If there was a thing that I don't really enjoy, it is gonna be the small bathroom.

    Superb

Friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of Cambridge train station and short drive into the city centre.

No hairdryer in the room. Squeaky bed.

    Exceptional

Very pleasant over night stay to visit Cambridge University. Only short drive to city centre. The hotel was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. Our ensuite shower stopped working. However, the proprietor was very helpful and came immediately to try to solve the problem. When he couldn't we were offered an alternative shower to use and also a reduction in our bill for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Close to Cambridge and Duxford which was the primary purpose of our stay. Also the friendliness and helpfulness of the management.

    Very good

Clean, helpful friendly service, good breakfast.

Room downstairs by front door so alittle noisy with front door closing and heavy footed people going up and down the stairs.

    Fabulous

The staff: ready to help at any time, for any thing we might need; always ready to prepare breakfast, call a taxi etc etc.

    Very good

    Friendly, helpful staff. Tasty brekfast.

A bit expensive, and quite the walk from town centre.

  • 7.8
    Fabulous

The welcome and service, the size and warmth of the room, and the breakfast, which was excellent.

The size of the en-suite shower/WC, which was very small, and the thin curtains which allowed the street lighting to intrude all through the night..

    Good

I liked that the owners live on the premises - this is unfortunately not always the case in Cambridge, as we have discovered. The owners were highly organised, informative and the breakfast was good.

The shower room was the smallest we've ever seen. A fat or pregnant person would not be able to get into the shower because the door only opened partially as it was blocked by the washbasin. We were right at the top of the house - quite a hike with luggage.

    Guest rating

Friendly staff. Convenient location. Off-road parking.

Room very small. No guest lounge or bar. General feeling of being a bit cramped and confined to a rather small room. I wouldn't have felt happy had I had to pay the full rate for the room, or had I not been in Cambridge for a specific purpose which meant I only required the hotel to sleep and have breakfast in. No bedside light meant that reading before going to sleep was not possible. This was not a "backpacker" experience but it was a budget one.

    Exceptional

Cleaniness, convenience, nice pub near by where we got a wonderful meal

Shower one side needed fixing. This we let them know and they were going to fix it.

    Good

Our room was very small, the bathroom was tiny and its handle was broken.

    Guest rating

The rooms wre very basic, no toiletries or biscuests were available and judging by the ownwers reactions, all they were interested in was money.I consider the Acacia to be very over-priced and I would not recommend it nor stay there ever again. Also the double rooms which we booked turned out to be a twin and a double although Acacia did confirm this the day before our stay.
